The Corporate and Foundation Relations team at the College of the Environment facilitates organizational partnerships on behalf of the College and all departmental units and programs.
We manage a portfolio of corporations and foundations, fundraise for unit-specific and college-wide priorities, and provide strategy and context for building bridges to private funders.
We work with faculty, PIs, staff, and senior administrators to provide the following services:
Consultation, Strategic Planning and Outreach
- Provide insights into key corporate and foundation supporters (i.e. past giving to UW, connections at UW, giving priorities)
- Introduce faculty and PIs to corporate and foundation donors and prospects
- Help frame funding needs to align with corporate and foundation prospect priorities
- Prospect research
- Coaching on how to approach new prospects
Proposal Development, Submission and Award
- Weekly review and outreach of relevant and upcoming RFPs
- Review and provide feedback on letters of inquiry, proposals, and budgets
- Provide technical assistance with applications and awards, including compiling required attachments and approvals
- Assist with routing proposals through OSP and Gift Services
- Provide assistance with the UW Gift Assessment requirements and calculations
- Assist with campus site visits
- Facilitate required reporting
- Write stewardship letters and reports
