Academics and Advising
The University of Washington has among the world's best academic units in many areas of the environment, earth science and natural resources. These units are known for their academic rigor and advanced learning methodologies. They also routinely engage students to work individually and on interdisciplinary teams under the close guidance of faculty and other professionals to address significant real-world research and application problems.
The College of the Environment is now open to students. The academic programs currently in the college are listed below. If you are interested in learning more about the opportunities for students, please contact the advising staff, who are available to discuss with you how you can match your interests with opportunities at the UW, and how you can integrate your academic and career plans. These advisors can introduce you to the opportunities available in each specific program, including internships, undergraduate research opportunities, scholarships, new and one-time course offerings, and special events.
